Nov. 10 Wolseley Residents Association: Energy Efficiency for Existing Older Homes

On Tuesday, November 10th, at 7 p-.m.  the Wolseley Residents’ Association will host a free online ZOOM presentation on Energy Efficiency for Existing Older Homes:

• Efficiency Manitoba will begin with incentives and rebates offered to homeowners, with a focus on the Home Insulation and the Income Qualified Programs.
• The WRA Housing Committee will present an overview of how to best tackle efficiency upgrades to our 100 year old homes. This presentation will explore the greatest cost/benefits, with topics including: 
  • air leakage + moisture control
  • insulation, windows and heating systems
  • energy recovery + passive solutions
  • alternative energies + GHG reductions
  • choosing green materials
  • existing hazards and best practices in construction
