Thanks for the great response to our tree survey.
Nearly 200 of you told us you wanted to be engaged with our committee to work on trees in our community!
We'll be reaching out shortly to build a larger leadership team & list of Tree Captains. -If you are interested in improving our local urban forest there'll be more opportunities to become engaged in the coming months, starting with a volunteer town hall.

Our fingers are crossed The City of Winnipeg will be supported with
federal funding as part of the 2 billion tree challenge. We'd love to plant & care for some of those 2 billion trees with you!
We are currently aware of two city supported replants happening this coming season at Omands Creek & at R.A.Steen. We also have great info from our survey & the support of our area’s park planning department to plant many trees in our area.

Getting Growing at Vimy Victory Gardens Again!

The Community Garden Committee has closed applications for plots at the Vimy Victory Gardens.
A lottery style draw will be held early this month. You will be notified by March 15th if you have been chosen.
The Community Garden Committee is busy working on many community greening initiatives and is looking for folks to help out in all sorts of ways.
